Owner of Kathy Cafazzo Photography. I've been professionallhy photographing families, children and high school seniors in Gainesville, Florida since 2023.

My heart for this work truly began in a quiet room in an assisted living facility. My dad adored my twin boys, but we lived hours away, so I filled his walls with large portraits of them. I’ll never forget the moment my four-year-olds walked in and saw themselves everywhere. My dad teared up and told them, “I want to see you every day, and these pictures help me do that.” Seeing the pure joy and sense of belonging that artwork brought to both my father and my sons changed everything for me.

Before picking up my camera full-time, I spent 29 years in the fast-paced world of college athletics. While I loved the energy, the brutal hours made me realize how fleeting time with family really is. Now, I’m dedicated to helping other families capture that same connection and giving back to the North Central Florida community that I love so much.

When I’m not behind the lens, you can find me playing board games with my boys, Camden and Blake, cheering them on at their sports games, or getting lost in a great audiobook.
